God has used this format for someone like me that is not a consistent journal keeper to focus my mind on God each day and keep my perspective fixed on Jesus. I pray every day and read Scripture every day. But most of all, I am speaking with God every day! I have recommended this to my church’s Celebrate Recovery Ministry, and hope to get these in the hands of as many believers as I can that struggle with consistency.

It has helped me acknowledge the things that God has done for me. For instance, the journal asks you to reflect on three things you are grateful for. I often times do not think about things that I am grateful for and thus this journal has helped me do so. Also, when it asks you to reflect on scripture that helps me understand what I am learning and helps me avoid scrolling through it. This journal is great because it makes me think about God throughout the day and what He is doing, as well as acknowledges the richness of the Word.

I’ve enjoyed my time with the journal. It’s given me time to think with leading questions and a reminder to keep moving forward. I would like to see a few more theologians/thinkers rather than those who are ultra-conservative. As a pastor, I would rather read the thoughts of pastors across the board.
