What I wanted decades ago but never had.
Daily Kairos is just that. An appointed time. I am a former pastor (13+ years) who lost that daily intimacy with God. I was bi-vocational, dad of three small kids, and a leader in every facet of my life. Along the way, my spiritual life became almost completely non-existent, ironically as a pastor. This journal has rekindled the very basic and foundational principles that the Christian life is meant to be built on. This is like the full-focus planner for the Christian life. I can't thank you guys enough because this is what I was looking for literally decades ago. A perfect companion that gets out of your way and allows you to communion with God in a daily Kairos! Thank you!
God has used this format for someone like me that is not a consistent journal keeper to focus my mind on God each day and keep my perspective fixed on Jesus. I pray every day and read Scripture every day. But most of all, I am speaking with God every day! I have recommended this to my church’s Celebrate Recovery Ministry, and hope to get these in the hands of as many believers as I can that struggle with consistency.
What this Journal Has Done For Me
It has helped me acknowledge the things that God has done for me. For instance, the journal asks you to reflect on three things you are grateful for. I often times do not think about things that I am grateful for and thus this journal has helped me do so. Also, when it asks you to reflect on scripture that helps me understand what I am learning and helps me avoid scrolling through it. This journal is great because it makes me think about God throughout the day and what He is doing, as well as acknowledges the richness of the Word.
Nice-would like a wider spectrum of thinkers
I’ve enjoyed my time with the journal. It’s given me time to think with leading questions and a reminder to keep moving forward. I would like to see a few more theologians/thinkers rather than those who are ultra-conservative. As a pastor, I would rather read the thoughts of pastors across the board. Consider quotes from Barbara Brown-Taylor, Brian McLaren, etc
Daily reminders and prompts to help me dig into Scripture more deeply.
